The Family Pile

Nicole was one of four sisters. She was the most organised, the one everyone expects to put the kettle on and sort things out. She was taken for granted by her family and decided to sell the house without consulting her siblings. Piles of stuff, collected over the lifetime of her late parents, were all over the house. She valiantly tried to convince her sisters to organise the mess, but was defeated each time by a mini drama. Although none of the sisters lived there anymore, they found themselves gravitating to the house, accidentally congregating in the space they once shared as children.

In The Family Pile, Nicole, Yvette, Ursula, and Gaynor, have recently lost their parents. They need to pack up their family home and sell it on, but can't agree on a lot of the important decisions.

She added "I think the viewers will be laughing their heads off but some moments are really meaningful. We had a really great chemistry, we really felt like a family and some of our inside jokes made it into the show."

The actress shared some photos and a TV news interview segment featuring herself talking about the show, to her Instagram page. She captioned the post "The FP fam make me smile so much! We had a little screening this week and it was soooooo good to see it all come together, catch up with the team and watch my fabulous new family do their thaaaang!"

According to The Guide Liverpool (opens in new tab), the production crew created a full-size family home interior set seen in images from the show, inside the now-empty Pensby High School for Boys in Wirral Peninsula. Exterior shooting took place in Crosby and Bebington. The production also offered a number of ]training and professional development opportunities for up-coming talent based in Liverpool, including the costume and make-up departments, production accountancy and camera grips.

Set in Liverpool, the six-part comedy sees Amanda Abbington (Sherlock) play eldest sibling Nicole, who along with her straight-talking sisters, Yvette (Downton Abbey's Clare Calbraith), Ursula (The Trip star Clarie Keelan) and youngest sister Gaynor (former Coronation Street actor Alexandra Mardell), must pack up the family home to sell now that both parents have passed away.

The four Liverpudlian sisters have emotional upheaval and some major life changes to navigate. Following the recent loss of both parents, oldest sister Nicole has put their mum and dad's family home on the market but the sisters are not exactly aligned on what happens next.

I am trying to create an adaptive pile with top end parallel to horizontal plane and the bottom end perpendicular to the Pile axis. So far I managed to create a family with both ends perpendicular to the axis but as soon as I set the top end parallel to the horizontal, the pile get a twisted profile. Although visually pleasing, it is not what my goal is. I think this is because the top end has to be an ellipse, not a circle but I am not sure. Please have a look at the family I uploaded.

I already did that actually. That does solve the problem of the two ends but I would still be ending up with changing length and diameter parameter of 200 such columns and some cases, the horizontal distance of the the pile from the centre of the footing. That to me are a lot of levels and grid lines.

So, if I had to create just one foundation with two piles, yes, your suggestion would be the one I'd take. On the other hand, for 50 such foundations in the same project, which are aligned to each other would create the problem of a lot of Global parameters, levels and Grids.

With an adaptive family, I can work with individual familiy parameters, without creating numerous levels for each of the element. That is my main motivation so far. If you could suggest be a better way to go about it, please let me know.

As a child, Hopwood DePree heard stories about the family owning an ancestral country home in England but always thought it was the stuff of legends. That was until the Hollywood producer tracked down a red-brick 15th century pile with 60 rooms in the countryside in northwest England.

Despite the dilapidation, treasures have survived the ravages of time and robbers: the family crest on the chimney pieces, intricate wood carvings and the lozenge-shaped stained-glass windows. One of the fireplaces was a gift from the poet Lord Byron, DePree said. The Romantic poet wrote many of his verses in the castle. The composer Frederic Chopin played in the banqueting hall. In the 1970s, such abandoned places began attracting various subcultures and Beatle John Lennon is rumoured to have visited. Street art painted on the walls dates back to this era.

A Gram-staining positive aerobic bacterium, designated TLY-12T, was isolated from the Pu-erh tea pile-fermentation process in Pu'er city, Yunnan, China. Strain TLY-12T grew at 15-37 C (optimum, 30 C), pH 6.0-11.0 (optimum, pH 9.0) and 0-9.0% (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 3.0%). The major cellular fatty acids were anteiso-C15:0, C16:0 and iso-C16:0. The respiratory quinone were menaquinones MK-9 (H2) and MK-9 (H4). The polar lipids were phosphatidylglycerol (PG), diphosphatidylglycerol (DPG), phosphatidylinositol (PI), phosphoglycolipid (PGL), glycolipid (GL) and an unidentified phospholipid (PL). The peptidoglycan contained glutamic acid, aspartic acid, alanine and lysine, with the last named being the diagnostic diamino acid. Whole-cell sugars of the isolate were ribose, galactose and glucose. Phylogenetic analyses of 16S rRNA gene showed that this strain belonged to the family Promicromonosporaceae, and was most closely related to Isoptericola cucumis DSM 101603 T, which gave sequence similarity of 97.9%. Genome sequencing revealed a genome size of 3.91 Mbp and a G + C content of 75.0%. Average nucleotide identity and digital DNA-DNA hybridization values were all below the species threshold of described Promicromonosporaceae species. Genome phylogenetic analysis showed that strain TLY-12T formed a separate evolutionary branch, and was parallel to other related genera of Promicromonosporaceae. Based on the phylogenetic, phenotypic, chemotaxonomic and genome pairwise data, strain TLY-12T is considered to represent a novel species in a new genus in the family Promicromonosporaceae, for which the name Puerhibacterium puerhi gen. nov, sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is TLY-12T (= CGMCC 1.17157T = KCTC 49467T).
